ACTIVITIES & TOURS
AT THE RESORT
We offer a variety of activities here at the resort. Each and every day and every night, there is always something happening at Blackbeards. 
Jacuzzi – a private hide away to relax, soak your troubles away and enjoy a cold beverage.
Pool – our large tropical lagoon style pool is a great place to cool down or join in a game of volleyball. Guys in the deep end, girls in the shallow end.
Drunken Parrot Bar and Restaurant – drink, eat, dance, shoot the breeze with your friends or watch a game on one of our big TV’s. Our Dominican Roast coffee is hot and always free and our beer is always ice cold.

Crows Nest Bar – Or “Bar Arriba” as we say here. Our upstairs bar is party central for dancing, shows, big screen sporting events and more.

Billiards – Rack em' up and break em'! Our brand new pool table is always busy and always free with a wide variety of beautiful cues to choose from.

Massage, Manicure, Pedicure – Spoil yourself a little. Our onsite Masseuse will be glad to help you get those travel kinks out.

Bikini Contest and Miss Universe Weekends – Every weekend we offer a wide variety of special contests and shows! From Bikini Contests, Miss Universe Contest, Mardi Gras Dance Show, Show Us Your Colors Night, Baby Doll Show and Raffle and much much more! ORGANIZED TOURS 
During your visit, you should get out and experience one or more of our fun and exciting tours. All tours include everything and you book them here at our hotel office.

Catamaran Sailing and Snorkeling Excursion – Climb aboard a 75 foot sailboat and spend the entire day cruising the coast, snorkeling and swimming. Open bar on the boat and a great beach party lunch is included.

Deep Sea Fishing – You can choose a charter to share with others, or a private charter for you and your friends. Half and Full Day trips available. Marlin, sailfish, tuna, wahoo and dorado are all a possibility!

Horseback Riding – Take a leisurely ride through the country either in the morning or afternoons.

Country World - A day of true adventure and excitement discovering the Dominican country side with horseback riding, Zip lining, natural waterfalls & pools and exotic wildlife.

Dune Buggies and Funny Bikes - Motor through the country on your choice of a dune buggy or ATV. Both suitable for 2 people. You will get muddy and wet, but we will hose you down when you get back.
DIS-ORGANIZED AND TAXI TOURS
The following trips/tours are provided by the local taxi union. These are ROUND TRIP transportation tours only and do not include any additional costs or services. Simply go on your own excursion or get a couple of fellow guests together and enjoy the sights. (Up to 4 people for one low price!)

Teleférico/Cable Car – take a trip to the top of Mt. Isabella. The view is stunning and there are botanical gardens, Indian caves, a restaurant, bar and souvenir shops.

Sosúa – A popular tourist destination. Great beach with numerous restaurants, bars, gift shops and water activities. Either daytime or nighttime trips are worth a look.

Cabarete – The wind surfing capitol of the Caribbean. Plenty of beach activities and numerous shops, stores, bars and restaurants.

Puerto Plata – Take a trip to old town, Fort San Felipe, Amber Museum, the Malecón and the Mercado Nuevo for souvenir shopping.
OTHER STUFF 
Golf – A Trent Jones course is just down the road. They rent clubs so don't worry about dragging yours along. Mangos Golf Course, located here in Costambar is a 9- hole course that offers free transportation.
Tennis – Professional clay court right here in the neighborhood, within walking distance.
Beach – 3 minute walk from our front door. There are bars, restaurants, swimming and volleyball. The place to be on a hot afternoon!
Casinos– Located in Playa Dorada and Ocean World, casinos are a short drive. Both feature the usual casino games and Texas Hold em' Poker.
Gym – Mangos Golf Course also has a gymnasium available for our guest.
As you can see, there is something for everyone…
